About Jim & Hannah Giles

Jim & Hannah Giles Hannah Giles lived with her late husband, Jim, in Northeastern Oklahoma for more than 26 years. Jim spent more than 25 years as Chief Meteorologist of the CBS affiliated News on 6 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hannah, born and raised in Germany, immigrated with her parents to the United States. Hannah met Jim in Kansas City, Missouri and the two were married a few months before his deployment to Vietnam. Hannah has spent many of her years active in the Tulsa community, volunteering in many non-profit organizations.

Hannah continues to own and operate the 400-acre Dizzy G Ranch, raising Black Angus cattle and other critters, in Okmulgee County. Meanwhile, Hannah is continuing to focus on the mission of her late husband Jim: weather safety. She is keeping his mission alive through a partnership that Hannah and Jim formed with Bennett Steel, Inc. of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The Giles' family has teamed up with Bennett Steel to manufacture safe rooms engineered to withstand an EF5 strength tornado. Jim Giles' Certified Safe Rooms is a proud member of the National Storm Shelter Association.
